In this blog, we will see the various customization options available for linear and radial dendogram in Helical Insight like the color of the node and its width, the link or lines color and enable disable data labels.
In order to customize the chart, click on the “Customize” section. You can see Enable/Disable Data Labels, Set Link Color and Set Node Color customization script icons.
To change the link color, double click on the “Set Link Color” icon. You will see the following modal window:
Click on the Add button. Select the columns that are the source and destination and the respective values that represents the link. You can define the thickness of the link as well as the color of the link.
Click Ok. You will see the Set Link Color icon is highlighted. Click on the small tick to apply the customization.
The link color is changed. You can add as many links and change the colors accordingly.
To set the node colour, double click on the Set Node Color icon. You will see the following modal window:
Click on Add. Select the column name and value for which you want to change the node size and colour. Specify the radius and color as well. Click on Ok.
You will see the Set Node Color icon is highlighted. Click on the small tick to apply the customization.
The node color and radius is changed.
Double click on the Enable/Disable data labels icon to enable or disable the display of data labels. You will see the following modal window with a toggle button.
Toggle the button to enable or disable display of data labels. Click on Ok. Apply the customization by clicking on the small tick.
Data labels are now enabled.
The same customizations are available for radial dendogram as well. The steps are the same.
