In this article, we will explain how to use filter by type operation.

Filter by type button can be used to filter the type of files that the end user wants to see and, interact within the repository. This button is a drop down menu, clicking on which the user can see the 6 options i.e. All, Report (EFW), Dashboard designer files, Saved report, Adhoc report, Metadata and Result file.

Based on the selection made by the end user here, specific files will be visible while browsing repository. After applying filter if you search then only those specific file types gets searched.
