Heat Map in Cross Tab

In this blog, we will see how to apply heat map customization on cross tabular report of Open source BI product Helical Insight. Based on the value of dimension different color can be assigned which helps in quick comparison.
Heat map customization is applied on the measure or values that are displayed in cross tabular report. In order to apply the customization script, go to “Customize” section of the report create or report edit interface.


Double Click on “Heat Map” icon. A modal window will appear as shown below:


Select the start and end colors by using the colour picker and click on Ok. You have the option of selecting the color or applying Hex value or RGBA value.


You will see that the “Heat Map” icon is highlighted. Click on the small tick to apply the customization.


Heat Map is applied.


In order to remove any customization, click on the delete icon.
