Legend Customization in Pie/Donut Chart

In this blog, we will see how to customize the legends in pie or donut charts.
The legends customization script is used to change the position of the legend or to hide the legend altogether. The steps mentioned below are exactly the same whether its a pie chart or donut chart. In order to apply the customization script, go to “Customize” section of the report create or report edit interface.


Double click on Legends icon. A modal window will open as shown below:


In order to hide the legend completely, click on the toggle button to turn it to red. Click on Ok. If the number of legends are really more it is advisable to hide the legend so that the chart appears properly.


You will see the Legends icon is highlighted. Click on the small tick to apply the script.


The legend is hidden or removed.


If you want to change the position of the legend, you can click on the relevant position in the script. The default position is “Bottom”. You can also change the font family and font size using the dropdown given.
Once you have made the changes, click on Ok.


Click on the small tick to apply the customization.
