On right clicking on any of the file type we can have several options. These options have been explained below.
Report: On right clicking on report the below mentioned options appear and their respective functions explained as well.
Open |
After selecting any report and clicking open, the report/dashboard gets opened up in the same window. All the input parameters, charts, other actions can be performed now. |
Open in New Window |
After selecting any report and clicking open, the report/dashboard gets opened up in a new browser window. All the input parameters, charts, other actions can be performed now. |
Share |
Share option allows the user to share the file with different roles/users. A person can share only within his own Organization. Also share option will not appear if the person is not the owner of the file. |
Properties |
Clicking on properties, end user can see different properties associated with that specific report which includes things like template, Icon, LastModified, Visible, Type, Extension, Author, Title, Permission Level, Style, Description, Name, Path. |
Saved Report: On right clicking on saved report the below mentioned options appear and their respective functions are explained as well.
Open |
After selecting any report and clicking open, the report/dashboard gets opened up in the same window. All the input parameters, charts, other actions can be performed now. |
Delete |
Delete operation will delete the file. Before deleting a confirmation box will appear asking whether user would like to delete, once confirmed the file is deleted. Also a notification window appears at the bottom right indicating the operation is successful. |
Rename |
Rename will allow changing the name of the file to some other. A window will appear asking for the new name. Validation will occur in case if no name is provided with appropriate message indicating user to put some content. After the successful operation notification will appear at bottom right showing successful operation. |
Export |
Export will allow user to export the saved report as a file. This file can then be shared/imported by other users and viewed. |
Cut |
Just like windows operation, Cut allows to cut a file and paste it in some other folder/repository. |
Paste |
In extension to the above mentioned operation paste will allow the folder to be pasted. |
Share |

Dashboard Designer: On right clicking on designer report the below mentioned options appear and their respective functions are explained as well.
Edit in Designer |
Opening “edit in designer:” opens the dashboard designer file in dashboard designer. The same can be edited, further worked upon and saved. |
Delete |
Delete option allows to delete the file. Before deletion another window opens asking user to confirm whether he wants to delete the file. Deletion of dashboard designer file will result in deletion of associated saved result (EFWSR) files as well. Once deleted a message appears on the bottom right indicating the same Also if a user doesn’t have proper permission delete option will not appear on the right click. |
Share |

Adhoc Report: On right clicking on adhoc report the below mentioned options appear and their respective functions explained as well.
Open |
After selecting any adhoc report and clicking open, the adhoc gets opened up in the same window. Whatever report had been created using adhoc editor with columns, aggregation, filters etc the same can be seen now. The only option which we will have is to apply the input filters, change chart type. |
Open in New Window |
After selecting any adhoc report and clicking open in new window, the adhoc gets opened up in a new window. Whatever report had been created using adhoc editor with columns, aggregation, filters etc the same can be seen now. The only option which we will have is to apply the input filters, change chart type. |
Edit |
When clicked on “edit”, this report will open in edit mode in adhoc editor. All adhoc editing related functions can be performed here like adding new columns, mathematical functions, adding new filter etc. Please refer to adhoc user guide to understand how to use adhoc editor. If the user is owner of the file then only “edit adhoc report” option will appear. |
Delete |
Delete operation will delete the file. A confirmation message will appear asking user to confirm whether he wants to delete it. Once deleted a message appears on the bottom right indicating the same. If the user is owner of the file then only “delete” option will appear. |
Share |

Metadata: On right clicking on metadata the below mentioned options appear and their respective functions explained as well.
Edit |
Edit metadata opens the file in metadata editor, using which end user can define joins which might be between columns of different tables. |
Delete |
Delete operation will delete the file. A confirmation message will appear asking user to confirm whether he wants to delete it. Once deleted a message appears on the bottom right indicating the same. Other files which are dependent on this metadata file (i.e adhoc report) will stop working once this specific metadata is deleted. |

Result: On right clicking on any of the result file, below mentioned options appear and their respective functions are explained as well.
Open |
Clicking on open the saved report, that saved result file is downloaded locally and can be viewed. If the report was saved in pdf format or in image format, the downloaded file will open in pdfviewer or in an image viewer software. |
Rename |
If a result file is renamed, then whenever the file is clicked and gets downloaded on the local machine, it will get downloaded in the new name just provided. |
Delete |
Delete operation will delete the file. A confirmation message will appear asking user to confirm whether he wants to delete it. Once deleted a message appears on the bottom right indicating the same. If the user is owner of the file then only “delete” option will appear. |
Cut |
Cut Option will allow to cut the file. |
Paste |
If a cut operation has been performed, then paste operation can be performed and the file can be pasted somewhere else. |
Share |
