Substring Database Function Usage in Helical Insight

In this blog, we will learn how to extract a substring from a string in Helical Insight.

  2. If we want to extracts a substring from a string. Click on column.

  3. Click on more, a user will get two options i.e., Quick and Advanced

    4. More tab Options

  4. Click on “Advanced” in this you will see a function called “substring”. Double click on that function and then drag the column and give values in start_position, length tab in the selected substring function box at the bottom. Click on Save button.

  5. Click on “Generate” report. You will see the desired output as below.
